Pixel2Paint approached Calm as an innovative startup business with a unique eCommerce concept. The development team built a bespoke platform to turn digital photography into beautiful hand-painted oil paintings and sell them online.
As a brand new eCommerce startup, Calm had the challenge of designing and developing the whole project from the ground up. The project required the team to work alongside the client to build a system which guaranteed ease of use and flawless functionality.
From the company brand to the eCommerce website, the solution required seamless integration with payment gateways and a back-end dashboard for three different user types; resellers, suppliers and the end customer.
Our UX designers devised a series of wireframes to map out the structure of the website and ensure the user journey would deliver all aspects that it was set out to do.
Functionality was developed, allowing customers to upload their photos and customise the size, orientation and finish of the painting along with purchasing prints online. A back-end system was then built for each of the 3 user types, giving access to a personal dashboard for resellers to manage their team, customers to track their purchases and suppliers to manage orders.
Calm also integrated an automated payment gateway to take customer payments through the website and then directly send commission to resellers and suppliers from sales made.
We assigned a UX/UI designer along with a backend developer to build the Pixel2Paint website from the ground up. Our biggest challenge was to make the platform flexible enough to create multiple experiences and dashboards for different user types.
The final result catered for all user types across desktop and mobile, meaning the solution was accessible from anywhere.
